Description
A warmer way to end the day
The Somwyn Ionic Foot Detox Spa combines a warm ionic foot bath with TENS acupressure massage in one compact countertop unit. Fill a basin with warm water, add a pinch of salt, and let a 30-minute session become the moment your body learns it is safe to slow down — an evening ritual built for deeper, more restful sleep.
Every session is measured, not guesswork: the LCD panel greets you with its Hydrogen Foot Bath display and shows your selected mode, live hydrogen ion concentration (ppb), estimated current, and remaining time. Unlike basic ion baths, this unit reads the hydrogen in your water in real time — the same molecule that made hydrogen water famous — so you can actually see the water working.

Two therapies, one machine
- Ionic foot bath. The water module (ion array) breaks water down into positive ions, negative ions, and hydrogen molecules, creating a gentle field while you soak.
- TENS massage. Self-adhesive electrode pads deliver mid–low frequency pulses to your shoulders, neck, back, arms, wrists, joints, legs, or feet — eight massage techniques in total.
Five ion modes
Press the mode buttons to move between five ion-balance presets:
| Mode | Ion balance | Designed for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 · Detoxification | 70% positive / 30% negative | The classic session — suitable for most people |
| 2 · Recovery | 30% positive / 70% negative | A negative-leaning ion mix |
| 3 · Regulation | 50% positive / 50% negative | Balanced default — great for first sessions |
| 4 · All Positive | 100% positive | A fully positive-ion field |
| 5 · All Negative | 100% negative | A fully negative-ion field |
Eight TENS massage techniques
Kneading · Hammering · Pressing · Impact · Pushing · Acupuncture · Scraping · Massage Cycle. Adjust the intensity from the panel, set a 1–30 minute timer, and press-and-hold the TENS key for two seconds to start or stop. For best results, place pads on both sides of the area you are targeting.

Pair it with your sleep acupressure routine
If you already follow our guide to foot acupressure points for sleep — points like Yongquan (KD1) on the sole, Taichong (LV3) on the top of the foot, and Sanyinjiao (SP6) above the inner ankle — the TENS pads let you work those same points without pressing anything. Place each pad pair on opposite sides of the target area (for example, one pad under the sole and one on the top of the foot), choose a gentle intensity, and let the rhythmic pulses do the holding for you — even while you soak, read, or breathe slowly.
New to this? Start at the lowest intensity for 10–15 minutes, keep the pads off bony spots and the carotid area, and let comfort be your guide.
How to use it
- Connect. Plug in the power cord and attach the array and wrist strap to the main unit. Make sure the wrist strap keeps contact with moist skin.
- Choose a mode. The unit defaults to Mode 3; use the +/− buttons to select any of the five modes.
- Set the time. The default session is 30 minutes; adjust anywhere from 1 to 60 minutes.
- Soak. Place your feet in warm water — around 108°F (42°C) is ideal — then long-press the Foot SPA key to start. Long-press again to stop.
Tap, well, and spring water all work. If the water’s ion reading is low (an A value under 0.5), simply stir in a pinch of regular table salt to improve conduction.
A rhythm that fits real life
| Who | Suggested routine |
|---|---|
| Adults | 30 minutes per session |
| Ages 8–15 | 15 minutes, with adult supervision |
| Adults under 50 | Every other day |
| Adults over 50 | Every three days |
Most people run their session in the last hour before bed — pair it with dimmed lights and no screens, and you have a wind-down ritual that tells your body sleep is coming.
Simple care
- Rinse the array after each session and let it air-dry.
- Wipe the unit with a soft cloth — no harsh chemicals.
- Keep the unit away from sharp impacts; press buttons gently.
- Never plug or unplug with wet hands.

What we DON’T claim
Let’s be direct, because the foot spa industry has a trust problem — and the word “detox” in this product category’s name is exactly why. (It is the category’s shelf name, not our promise.)
- ✗ We don’t claim it “detoxifies” your body or removes heavy metals — that’s not scientifically supported.
- ✗ We don’t claim it treats insomnia, anxiety, or any medical condition.
- ✗ We don’t claim the TENS massage relieves pain conditions — it’s a comfortable massage, nothing more.
- ✗ We don’t use “clinically proven” language.
What we do claim: warm water feels good, a consistent ritual helps you wind down, gentle touch and slow breathing can help your nervous system settle — and a relaxing massage simply feels nice. That’s what the evidence supports, and that’s all we promise. The details are on our Evidence & Method page.
