Your data, plainly explained

This page explains what information Somwyn collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 2026-09-13

1. Who we are

Somwyn (“we”, “us”) operates this website and the associated Sleep Library email series. This site is published by 广东氢弦科技有限公司 (“Somwyn”), the company that owns and operates this site. Somwyn is our trading brand. Our operating address is 2501 Ventura County, Suite 101, Oxnard, CA 93036, United States — you can reach us at [email protected].

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Email address — when you subscribe to the Sleep Library or request the free 2AM Rescue card via our signup forms.
  • Program interest and beta data – when you join a course, challenge, or 7-night beta list, or submit a nightly check-in, we store your email, selected night, practice status, ease rating, and optional note.
  • Message content — if you contact us by email or through a contact form, we keep the message so we can reply.

Information collected automatically

  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5 below.
  • Basic technical data — such as browser type and pages visited, used in aggregate to understand which articles are useful.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with advertising networks.

3. Why we use it

  • To send the email series you subscribed to (Sleep Library onboarding and practice emails).
  • To reply to your questions.
  • To deliver the 7-Night Reset beta emails and understand completion patterns.
  • To improve program structure based on aggregated, non-identifiable beta feedback.
  • To understand which content is read and improve the Sleep Library.

4. Email communications

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, we stop sending the email series. You will not be re-subscribed unless you choose to sign up again.

If you believe you received an email from us in error, contact us and we will investigate.

5. Cookies

We use a cookie-consent banner to respect your choice. Depending on your consent settings, the following categories may be active:

  • Strictly necessary cookies — required for the site to function and to remember your consent choice. These cannot be switched off.
  • Functional cookies — remember preferences such as font-size adjustments.
  • Statistics cookies — help us understand which pages are read, in aggregate. These are only set after you consent.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie icon or clearing your browser cookies for this site.

6. Third-party services

We use the following services that may process personal data:

  • MailPoet — email newsletter delivery and automation. Your email address is stored in our MailPoet subscriber list.
  • Fluent Forms – stores 7-Night Reset check-in submissions inside WordPress.
  • WordPress hosting — our hosting provider processes data necessary to serve the site.

Additional analytics services (such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity) will only be activated after the corresponding privacy disclosure is in place.

7. How long we keep data

  • Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data.
  • Contact messages: up to 24 months, after which they are deleted.
  • Beta check-in responses: up to 24 months. Aggregated, non-identifiable themes may be retained after the identifiable submission is deleted.
  • Consent records: kept as long as required to demonstrate compliance with your consent choice.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access — ask what data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details on our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use standard technical measures to protect the site and its data, including access controls and regular backups. HTTPS will be enforced on the production domain before public launch. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page. If we make significant changes that affect your rights, we will notify you by email before the change takes effect.
